BIBLE TRUTH ABOUT DEATH
"Therefore we are always confident, knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord. For we walk by faith, not by sight. We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord."  II Corinthians 5:6-8  * A lot of people, including pastors, have taken these Bible verses out of context.  Believing that this proves that when a person dies they are instantly transported into the presence of God, they are believing the lie which Satan is still spreading today. II Cor. 5:6 says that when we are in this sinful body, we are absent from the Lord.  Sin cannot survive in the presence of a holy God. The bible teaches that when we die, we do not know anything. God created Adam and Eve with a living soul, not an immortal soul.  When Jesus returns, He will give us new bodies and then we will be present with the Lord. I am not a minister and there are a lot of things that I have a hard time explaining, but if you go to https://www.amazingfacts.org/media-library/media/e/5705/t/death-delusions and listen to the 30 minute presentation that is given by Doug Batchelor,  speaker and director of Amazing Facts, I believe your questions will be answered satisfactorily from the Bible. When it comes to the subject of death, who will you believe.  You can believe the lies which the devil has spread from the beginning where he said “You shall never die” or you can believe God’s truth concerning the subject of death which has been laid out in this section. The choice, my friend, is yours. *  New King James Version
