From the texts on the previous pages, you can see that the person (soul) who sins will die.  Since all people have sinned, we will all die.  But if we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, even though we will die in this earthly life, we will live again when Jesus Christ comes the second time to take His children home with Him. “But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope.  For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus.  For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep.  For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God.  And the dead in Christ will rise first.  Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air.  And thus we shall always be with the Lord.  Therefore comfort one another with these words.” 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 * Remember what God commanded Adam to do in the garden of Eden, “Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat; but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.”  And then remember the lie which Satan told Eve, “And the serpent said to the woman, ‘You will not surely die.  For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.” Who are you going to believe, God who is the truth from the beginning or the Devil who is the liar from the beginning. Most of the world believes that when a person dies, he or she goes directly to heaven.  But that’s not what the Bible teaches. * New King James Version
