The popular belief that is taught in most denominations today is that when people die they go directly to heaven.  According to the Bible, which is the ‘Word of God’, it is plain to see that God makes it plain that the individual who dies goes to his grave and does not go to heaven. Let’s take for an example my parents.  If both of them were in heaven enjoying what God had prepared for them and then they looked down at this world and saw their handicapped son struggling with life, how happy would they be to see that.  I think they would be very unhappy.  As the Bible is the Word of God, God has revealed the truth about the Sabbath and about death.  It is not part of God’s character to lie.  And since God’s Word reveals God’s character, you can trust Him to the fullest.
