PERSONAL TESTIMONY
In 2011, Mom started having mini-strokes which caused my brother and I great concern.  Whenever Mom would have a stroke and went to the hospital, David and Darlene, his wife, would come from their home and be at the hospital with me.  David’s a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) and Darlene’s a Registered Nurse (RN) so they would tell me what was happening with Mom. While in the hospital, Mom had a major stroke which caused the hospital to put her on life support, which she didn’t want.   Mom was transported to another hospital which was better equipped to handle these kind of cases.  After being told by the Emergency Room doctor what was happening, my brother and I decided to have them discontinue life support.  David, Darlene and I were around Mom’s bed when she breathed her last.  Mom and Dad had a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and had accepted Him as their personal Saviour.  They both died in the hope of the first resurrection when Jesus will resurrect all of those who have fallen to sleep in Him. “But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope.  For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus.  For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep.  For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God.  And the dead in Christ will rise first.  Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air.  And thus we shall always be with the Lord.  Therefore comfort one another with these words.” 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 *   * New King James Version
